Yeah, its true. The happening lady director-choreographer will soon dance to the tunes of another talented filmmaker for his next venture.
The buzz in the circles goes that Farah Khan has been signed on by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his sister Belas directorial debut. The films script is written by Sanjay and interestingly, the director who is popular for giving dark, serious films has this time turned towards giving a comedy.
According to him, its a funny and very tender and quaint love story of a Parsi couple. In this Farah said to be sharing the screen space with the talented actor Boman Irani, who will be playing her husbands character.
Now its a known fact that these two filmmakers were sharing a cold war some time ago; moreover they had even taken their anger on each other in media. However, it looks like all has turned well between Bhansali and Khan. And they confirmed the news on working together to sources on a cheerful note.
On asking why he chose Farah for his movie, Bhansali replied that the films character Shirin seems to suit her perfectly. He added to say, Farah has amazing wit and wicked humour and I could see that translating on the screen.
While Bela, who has edited most of her brother's films revealed, "I instinctively felt Farah was right for the role. Also, she is half-Parsi and has a mad side to her. And there could be no one better than Boman for this role. Expect to see a lot of song and dance in my film."
On the other hand, the lady herself Farah is quite surprised about bagging Sanjays project. In fact she thought it was their prank when he and Bela called her for the film. Now currently the filmmaker is brushing up her Parsi accent and planning to meet her relatives to prepare for her role.
Wow! Looks like something exciting is going to come up on the screen, where creativity of two directors is put together . What say?
